MISTE MES Batch 1983 I remember my first day at MES vividly. During the school stint, I was uncertain how this turn of the life would play out in the future. Little did I know the difference it would make and shape the person that I would eventually become. The school taught me multiple languages that made me linguistic thoroughbred. I embarked on education to acquire fleet of degrees encompassing double post graduation in engineering and management to become a technocrat. The zest and zeal of schooling at MES instilled fetish of edification in studies that propelled me to pursue a super specialized doctoral program. I professed various industry portfolios in engineering jobs and currently a researcher and professor I would be obliged to be a part of any interface between me and MES group of institutions that sown the seed bed of literary renaissance . The teachers imparted infinite love and taught how discipline and diligence in any craft can forge the future of our dreams. The first thing MES instills in its students is the sense of belonging. The euphoria of the golden era of the school days that was the launching pad of our educational career was filled with fun and laughter.

Going down the memory lane, back into early seventies - we had no modern school building,no good infrastructure and no technology at our finger tips then. Yet MES had a vision and curriculum for both academic and non academic fronts, that can make the present day education planners take a bow. Our daily homeworks and punishments, quarterly tests, revisions and preparatory exams before finals, - A complete fool proof package for excellence. And at our extracurricular activity front - we had our own interclass and interschool debate competitions, School picnics, our annual sports day in Lalbagh ( Sac Race,Lemon & Spoon Race, running race etc.)Annual school day at Town hall filled with song and dance sequences, mono acting, comedy shows , skits and so on showcasing our hidden talents in the field of theatre, drama and creativity. (Who can forget our famous parda hai parda qawali, Akbar & Birbal story, Shahjahan ka insaf/ just to name a few). Proud and nostalgic indeed.

MES has had a profound impact on my life in many ways. Every kid gets foundational learning skills from the very first school and it becomes the bedrock on which you enhance and enrich your learning capabilities. You built your dreams based on those foundational tenets and it becomes your essential fabric of existence. It is amazing to see so many successful professionals creating positive impact in their respective fields on a global stage, coming out of MES. It’s a testament to the teachers who went above and beyond to provide the right educational support system that went a long way in nurturing the next generation of successful professionals and leaders.

I studied in Mavalli Education Society at a time when there were hardly any English convent schools. I was the first person in our family who went to a convent . I owe my success to the values imbibed by my great teachers like Shameem maam, susheela maam , Jameela maam & Mazhar Umeed sir during the formative years.

It feels great to be a part of 1983 batch. The batchmates who went on to become the super heroes in the medical, engineering and management field. Not to forget the standout achievements of few in cricket, who brought name fame and pride for our school to be recognized at State level in cricket. What can I say about the great bunch of teachers we had. Few teachers at that time stood tall in moulding our personality. May allah bless all the teachers, support staff and entire school fraternity.
